Toddlers (and parents!) are invited to join us for Wee Wednesdays! Wee Wednesdays is a bi-monthly program held from 10 to 11 am on the first and third Wednesday of the month. During each session, wee ones will gain art, reading, critical thinking, and tactile development skills. Each session will be a new project created on-site for your little ones to take home and enjoy!

The 1842 historic Dougherty Mission House built by Rev. Peter Dougherty, Chief Agosa, the Ottawa and Chippewa opens for tours on Wednesday, June 12th Wednesdays through Saturdays, 11am until 4pm. Tour the former Inn where the fruit industry began in the Traverse City region. Discover the ties to the Old Mission Peninsula Lighthouse while you tour the house, summer kitchen, carriage shed, icehouse, and demonstration garden. See the new Old Mission Agricultural Heritage exhibit where Old Mission Peninsula earned its name.

Club Create is a Michigan Arts Access program for adults with disabilities. Club Create provides opportunities for adults with disabilities to have hands-on experiences in the arts provided by professional artists. Club members participate in an art experience at each meeting, as well as have time to socialize with other club members. Club Create of Mid Michigan meets 5:30-7 pm on the second Thursday of each month. Caregivers are welcome to participate as well.

Artists of all skill levels are invited to join instructor Cheryl Meyer for a four-week watercolor techniques course. Whether you are a beginner or intermediate watercolorist, you will explore a variety of methods to improve your watercolor proficiency and create vibrant and dynamic artworks. Expect to explore wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, gradient washes, and dry brushing. You will learn how to manipulate the flow of water and pigment to achieve stunning textures, tones, and effects. The course also covers the importance of composition, color theory, and layering to add depth and dimension to your pieces. If you have preferred brushes and watercolors, you are welcome to bring them, however, all supplies will be provided.
This course will be held from 2-4 pm, on Friday, May 9-30 in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant.

Join us for a unique and relaxed evening of creativity at our Creative Happy Hour! Intended to provide an open studio opportunity to get together with friends or like-minded artists, Creative Happy Hour is a weekly open studio session with a rotating media schedule.
On the second Friday of each month, you’re invited to come work on your fiber art projects—be it knitting, crocheting, weaving, or any other textile craft. Bring your current project or start something new with a group of other fiber artists. The goal is to have fun, experiment, and let your creativity flow freely.

Join instructor Tanya Ehrsam for a fun and creative workshop on assembling a charm pack and quilted tote bag. Both artistic and functional, you can play with colors and patterns and learn simple construction techniques to machine sew your tote bag together. This is a great way to use scraps and fat quarters of various fabrics or purchase pre-cut charm packs. Whether you have some quilting experience or are a beginner, all can learn something new and hone your sewing skills. Students will be provided a pattern and a supply and fabric cutting list. Students may bring their own sewing machine. If one is needed, contact Art Reach, and a machine will be provided.

Love to run? Hate to run? This is the race for you! Join Relay For Life of Midland County at the Midland Brewing Company for a RELAY short 0.5K race! Start with a half pint of Midland Brewing Company's Dam Good Beer, "run" the 0.5K on the Rail Trail, and finish with another half pint! Registration includes a souvenir pint glass and a $5 Midland Brewing Company gift card. A special lunch option is available for purchase at the Red Keg immediately after the race.
