Who doesn’t love to dance? This low-key class taught by local choreographer Kelli Jolly is designed for adults ages 18 and up! A flexible schedule allows you to drop in whenever you want.

Appropriate for ALL levels, from experienced dancer to complete beginner – the class is about having fun and enjoying the rhythm without any pressure.

Classes are 90 minutes and consist of a warmup, skills across the dance floor, and a combination.

Wear any comfortable shoes and clothing.

Wee Wednesday invites babies, toddlers, and young children to explore art in a relaxed, hands-on environment. Held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, this bi-monthly class encourages curiosity and creativity through simple projects that introduce color, texture, and playful materials. Kids can paint, build, stamp, squish, swirl, sing, and experiment at their own pace while caregivers join in on the fun.

The program starts at 10 am, Wednesday, March 4, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant.

Designed with ages 0–5 in mind but welcoming to older siblings, Wee Wednesday is a flexible, sensory-rich art experience where every child can create, discover, and make a little joyful mess.

Megan King of the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan will give a presentation on sex trafficking. She will talk about the extent of this problem locally and how our community is addressing it. A Q&A period will follow the presentation. The Fundamentals of Drawing is a series of four 12-week skill-building courses with acclaimed artist and instructor Julie Tyslicky, designed to teach you to draw from the ground level. You’ll be provided a solid foundation in the essential techniques that every artist needs to know, and help you develop much more advanced skills that can help enhance your art vocabulary, painting skills, or coach you in entering juried shows.

Fundamentals of Drawing 1 starts the process at the ground level, teaching how to translate observation to line and form. You’ll learn proportion and composition to gain confidence in your mark-making. This course also teaches technical knowledge such as layering, understanding values, highlights and shadows, and negative space. Weekly assignments and critiques will progressively build technical skill and visual understanding.

This 12-week course will be held from 6-9 pm on Wednesdays, January 7-March 25, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant.

Join the Zonta Club of Mt Pleasant for an inspiring time of global connection as we join the Zonta Club of St Sofia Bulgaria in a celebration of resilience, women's stories and leadership. Hear stories from 3 amazing local women and help raise money for RISE Advocacy. Bring your own lunch. Water and cookies will be provided.

Celebrate the first signs of spring with color, creativity, and a flock of feathered inspiration! Led by instructor Cheryl Meyer, you’ll focus on capturing the charm, movement, and personality of birds through expressive painting techniques. Each week in this 4-session course will feature a different feathered friend, and this class will guide you in bringing them to life on paper.

Perfect for beginner to intermediate artists, we’ll explore watercolor fundamentals such as wet-on-wet, layering, and texture while also learning how to sketch dynamic bird forms, render feathers, and create harmonious backgrounds. This series helps build your skills and confidence in watercolor.

This 4-week course will be held weekly from 1-3 pm on Thursdays, March 5-26, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant, MI. Select from the discounted full course or individual sessions.

Young artists are invited to hone their drawing skills with instructor Jason Correia in this 8-week skill-building course. Students will sharpen their observational skills while becoming more confident in their drawing abilities. Each class will focus on a still life that all will draw from. Each session will begin with a short demonstration, followed by dedicated drawing time from the still life, during which each student will receive one-on-one feedback. Students will cover gesture drawing, contour drawing, value, and mark-making, giving students a full range of drawing techniques using different media, such as graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, and ink. This course is perfect for setting a solid foundation in drawing techniques that can enhance art skills in other media.

This course will be held weekly from 4-5:30 pm on Thursdays, March 5- April 30 (skipping April 2 for Spring Break), in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at 111 E. Broadway, Mount Pleasant, MI.
