Iosco County

A 3.2-mile stretch of US-23 in Iosco County is set for reconstruction. The project, scheduled to be built in 2027, includes new pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer, sidewalks, signs, pavement markings, and landscaping.

The Ohio Air National Guard is investigating what caused a malfunction that forced a pilot to drop two fuel tanks from 12,000 feet in the air over Iosco County and into Lake Huron. No injuries have been reported.

After appearing on ballots four times, Iosco county will receive a millage increase in funds for the county prosecutor, sheriff and various other county services.

The millage has failed the last three times its appeared on the ballot. County officials say the millage will help with fixing the county building and fund various county services.
