The 44th Zonta Homewalk will feature five spectacular homes beautifully decorated for the holidays open for tours December 6th & 7th, from 1-5 pm. Tickets, $20 in advance and $25 at the door, available from all members of the Zonta Club of Midland, and after November 1 online at ZontaClubofMidland.org and through local retailers.
Funds raised by Homewalk support local scholarships and service grants with over $650,000 raised. The scholarships for area women that are for women re-entering the workforce or who are in the workforce going back to school as well as students entering/vocational certification directly from high school. Service grants are provided to area non-profits to support programs that provide services for women and girls locally.
Visit the rest stop at Century 21 for refreshments during Homewalk and purchase your raffle tickets for the beautiful holiday wreaths donated by Zonta members and friends. Winning tickets will be drawn on Sunday December 7th at 5:30 pm at Century 21, you need not be present to win.
The Men of Music’s annual Christmas concert will be held on Sunday, December 7, with Memorial Presbyterian Church at 1310 Ashman Street in Midland serving as the host. A freewill offering taken during this free community concert will benefit the Midland County Food Assistance Network. Two performances -- 2pm & 7pm. No ticket required.
The "Men of Music" chorus has been singing in the Midland, Michigan, area since 1936 (originally known as the Dow Male Chorus). The current membership consists of over 50 men. Our director is Grace Marra, and our accompanist is Joan Kinnett. In the last 20 years, over $67,000 has been raised for the Food Assistance Network. Well over $100,000 has been raised over the years for local charities.
Midland Community Orchestra presents their Christmas Concert Sunday December 7, 3 PM and 6 PM at Bullock Creek Auditorium. There are two showings for this festive event; both showings are free. Conducted by Gina Provenzano, the MCO will present a variety of holiday favorites, including selections from the Nutcracker Suite, where advanced dancers from Elite Arts Company will perform with the orchestra. Lobby events before and after the concert will include photo ops with Santa and the Sugar Plum Fairy, Salvation Army Toy Drive, and holiday themed fundraisers for the MCO Youth and Elite Arts Company. Test the waters with oil pastel, a low-mess, approachable medium with instructor Annie Croft. Students will have a chance to experiment with their pastels, practice some drawing techniques, and then select a nature picture of their choice. Annie will lead students through the steps of recreating their image and will assist students with finding the right colors and blending for their individual projects. No experience needed!
This workshop will be held from noon-2 pm on Monday, December 8, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant.

Unleash your creativity and embrace the spirit of the season in our Ceramic Holiday Ornament workshop! Join instructor Emily Gunning in this fun-filled, tactile experience where you'll sculpt an assortment of holiday-inspired forms in clay. Perfect for any skill level, you’ll be guided through each step, from rolling slabs to surface embellishment, carving & glazing. Leave with a series of handmade ornaments for your home or to share as a thoughtful gift.
In the first class session, we will learn to form shapes from slabs and texturize with clay. The second session will feature a demo on glazing and include time for you to glaze and decorate your pieces. Your ornaments will be fired and ready for pickup at Art Reach the following week, just in time to enhance your home for the holidays.
This two-week workshop will be held from 4-6 pm on Monday, December 1 & 8 in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant.

Art Cafe is a chance for you to create in a welcoming space with people of all levels of experience. Each session will offer a Special of the Day - an art project led by a Creative 360 teacher.
You can register for the Special of the Day or you can bring your own materials to work on whatever you would like while enjoying the company of like-minded creatives.
We will also have watercolor supplies out for anyone who would like to use them at no additional cost.
Each Special of the Day has a materials fee that is covered by the registration cost of $15
Guests can BYOB and snacks.
Children between the ages of 12 and 16 are welcome with a registered adult EXCEPT for Act & Sip.

Dive into the vibrant world of alcohol inks with instructor Judi Steffke in this beginner-friendly class designed to spark your imagination and ignite your creative spirit! Alcohol inks are a bold, expressive medium known for their fluidity, unpredictability, and stunning, abstract effects. Whether you're an experienced artist or trying something new, this class offers a fun and relaxed environment to explore the magic of inks on non-porous surfaces, such as Yupo paper, ceramic tiles, or glass. This class will offer themed sessions recreating imagery on ceramic tiles, and will be finished with a spray-on topcoat for durability.
