He includes Big Bill Broonzy, Dale Hawkins, Roy Buchanon, Sonny Burgess, Michael Burks, BB King, CeDell Davis, Roosevelt Sykes, Detroit Junior, and Junior Walker. He also notes the passing of Detroit bluesman, Luther "Badman" Keith.

Peyton's Big Damn Band.

We’ll also hear some new music from the Lucky Nows, and former Jayhawks frontman Gary Louris!

Including interview segments with Albuquerque radio host / writer Mark Weber, a life long friend of Bobby's. Mark selected many of the tracks that were played.

He also includes the honored tunes by BB King, Irma Thomas, Bessie Smith, Blind Lemon Jefferson and Lightnin’ Hopkins.

  • This week on Destination Out, host Mike Johnston features a newly-released LP recorded live at the Tivoli in Copenhagen, November 30th, 1965. The LP features the Ornette Coleman Trio, with Ornette Coleman on alto, trumpet, and violin, David Izenzon on bass, and Charles Moffett on drums.
  • Sunday night, February 9th on “The Juke Joint” broadcast, Robert Barclay will celebrate the centennial birthday of pianist Henry Gray. We’ll hear his work with Howlin’ Wolf, Billy Boy Arnold, Jimmy Rogers and Bob Corritore. He will also spin Taj Mahal’s Grammy winner and the new CD by Tommy Castro.
  • Homespun this week ventures into new music from Woody Platt, Rebecca Frazier, and Appalachian Smoke! We get Old Timey with Dirk Powell and The Onlies, and we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Guy Clark’s debut album “Old No. 1.”
