Prisoners in Michigan could see some access to the state’s Freedom of Information Act under legislation that passed in the state House this week.

Pawsitive Connections, a dog training program at the Central Michigan Correctional Facility in St. Louis, is helping teach inmates valuable life skills.

The department said the change came after receiving feedback on the list last year, pushing them to reduce the number of publications on the banned publication list.
