New Music Symposium to feature works by Dr. Evan Ware

Dr. Evan Ware joined  Judy Wagley Wednesday for Afternoon Classical in advance of Sunday's performance of The Quietest of Whispers, a New Music Symposium at Central Michigan University School of Music's Staples Family Concert Hall. The performance is inspired by Dr. Ware’s own experience with childhood sexual assault as well as the survivors at Michigan State University.

During the concert, the CMU student Sexual Aggression Peer Advocates will offer counseling services to those who feel the need to speak with someone. The event serves as a launch for Sexual Assault Awareness month in April.

The New Music Symposium: 7:30 p.m., March 31 at Staples Family Concert Hall on the campus of Central Michigan University.

Judy Wagley is WCMU’s midday host, and is the producer of The Children’s Bookshelf from From the Ground Up! She guides listeners through their weekdays from 9am to 3pm.
