Free counseling services will be offered to all community members impacted by the mass stabbing that took place at a Traverse City Walmart on Saturday.

The counseling sessions will be held at Northwestern Michigan College’s Innovation Center.

Grand Traverse County Prosecuting Attorney Noelle Moeggenberg told the Traverse City Record-Eagle that walk-in appointments with volunteer licensed therapists will be available Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Those hours may be extended depending on the amount of services needed.

Mia Kerner is a WCMU newsroom intern based at the Traverse City Record-Eagle, where she files both broadcast and print stories about northwest lower Michigan.
