Mental health experts say Equine Assisted Therapy can help people with depression, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental health difficulties.

“Horse healing” is a form of therapy that includes horses and a mental health specialist working together with a client to create positive change.

Tina Sawyer spoke with Jodi Stuber who is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Hopewell Ranch in Weidman. She shares her personal journey of how the animal-human interaction programs at the Isabella County ranch have helped people of all ages.

Tina Sawyer is the local host of Morning Edition on WCMU. She joined WCMU in November, 2022.
