A new statewide poll is gauging voter sentiment on three Michigan Midterm Election ballot proposals.
Lansing-based EPIC-MRA conducted a statewide poll from October 6th through the 12th surveying 600 likely November voters with 70% of them reached by cell phone. When asked if the election for were held today – or if they already voted by absentee ballot – how would they vote on the three ballot proposals?
Proposal 1is receiving overwhelming support with 68% in favor of amending the state constitution requiring members of the legislature, governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, and attorney general to file annual public financial disclosure reports after 2023. 24% said they’d vote “no.”
Proposal 2 is receiving similar support. It would amend the constitution to: Recognize fundamental right to vote without harassing conduct among other voting accommodations. 67% are in favor with 23% opposed.
Finally, Proposal 3 is receiving strong support with 60% saying they’ll vote “yes” for a proposed constitutional amendment establishing a new individual right to reproductive freedom. 33% are a “no” vote.
The poll margin of error is 4 points. Of those surveyed 41% consider themselves Democrats, 40% Republican, 15% Independent with 4% split as Undecided/Other or refused to answer the survey.
