Only seven townships or cities within Midland County are within the 35th state Senate district.
This list includes: Homer Township, Ingersoll Township, Larkin Township, Lincoln Township, the City of Midland, Midland Township, and Mt. Haley Township.

The 35th Senate district covers parts of Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties as detailed above. Those living within the district are the only people able to vote in the special election.
