Thirteen Bay County communities reside within the 35th state Senate district.
This includes: the city of Auburn, Bangor Township, Bay City, Beaver Township, the city of Essexville, Frankenlust Township, Hampton Township, Kawkawlin Township, Merritt Township, the city of Midland (Bay County), Monitor Township, Portsmouth Township, and Williams Township.

Bay County will not be participating in early in-person voting for the special election. Early voting will still be available through the county clerk's office or mail-in ballots. Click here to view our comprehensive guide to voting in this special election.
The 35th Senate district covers parts of Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties as detailed above. Those living within the district are the only people able to vote in the special election.
