Shots fired on the campus of Central Michigan University

UPDATE: One of the victims of the shooting that took place on the campus of Central Michigan University Friday morning has been identified as James Davis Sr., father of the shooter and off duty officer from Bellwood Police Department in Illinois. 

PREVIOUS REPORTING: Central Michigan University confirms that two people were fatally shot at Campbell hall  on campus this morning. The deceased are not students, and police believe the situation started from a domestic situation. 

There are no additional injuries. 

A shooting occurred on the fourth floor of the Campbell residence hall on the campus of Central Michigan University Friday morning. 

Police say a suspect is on the loose, he is described as a 19 year old black male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing mustard yellow jeans and a blue hoodie. He may have taken off the hoodie. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. If you see the suspect do not approach him and call 911. 

The campus of Central Michigan University remains in secure lockdown mode. All students and staff are being told to shelter in place, Mount Pleasant area schools are also in secure lockdown mode.
