A dozen members of Congress got a first-hand look Friday at how Flint is recovering from its water crisis.

The group, all Democrats, inspected a pipe replacement project on the city’s north side.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says they remained committed to helping Flint.

“It’s not just about Flint and water.  it’s about our responsibilities to each other in our country to make the future better.”

Pelosi criticized congressional Republicans, who voted this month to cut funding for some clean water programs.
