The group said these funds will go to local branches helping the hardest hit areas by Friday's tornadoes and storms, like St. Joseph County United Way, which has been helping Three Rivers residents recover.

It's been a year since a tornado destroyed dozens of homes in Kalamazoo County and damaged hundreds more. A mobile home park in Pavilion Township took some of the worst damage. But even after a year, some residents are still living in damaged homes, and others never got to move back in.
