The days of lining up for the evening paper are gone. All over the country, local news is becoming harder to find. A group of Boyne City residents want to change that.

A few weeks ago, Sheriff Chris Swanson told reporters that an investigation into the murder of a man in Fenton had “stalled”. That wasn’t true. There was a suspect, but his whereabouts were unknown.

The state Supreme Court is siding with news outlets suing the Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission.
