Former Michigan Republican Party chair Kristina Karamo has lost an important court decision in her effort to be reinstated as the state GOP leader.

A Kent County judge has allowed a lawsuit to go forward that seeks a court order declaring that disputed Michigan Republican Party Chair Kristina Karamo is out.

Nearly 89% of those present at the meeting Saturday afternoon in Commerce Township voted to oust Karamo. Her critics blame Karamo for the state Republican Party’s financial and organizational problems.
