One of the largest operators of charging networks for electric vehicles in North America is bringing a manufacturing operation to the Great Lakes State.

The Auburn Hills City Council voted 5-2 in favor of opting out of the SMART bus system at its meeting Monday night.

Auburn Hills City council decided in a workshop earlier this month to move toward opting out of SMART, instead the city would create its own weekday-only transit system for seniors and people with disabilities
