Children faced many challenges during the pandemic, including mental distress and child abuse. In this episode of Shifting Mindsets for Better Health, we hear from two doctors who see children in hospital emergency rooms. They share what they saw during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shifting Mindsets for Better Health is a collaborative production of Central Michigan University’s College of the Arts and Media, the College of Medicine, and the Interdisciplinary Center for Community Health & Wellness.

Dr. Heather Polinsky is the Director of the School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University. Before pursuing academia, Dr. Polinsky worked as an audio engineer at SoundTrax Recording Studios in Raleigh, North Carolina.
