….This past week marked 2 milestones: The birth of Hazel Dickens (6/1/25) and the passing of Jean Ritchie (6/1/15).The next edition of Homespun recognizes both with the music of Dickens and Ritchie along with friends The Johnson Mountain Boys, Sally Rogers & Howie Bursen, Phyllis Boyens, and others.

Tom Ball is the host of 'Homespun' on WCMU, and is also a marketing representative for the station. He is responsible for securing program sponsorships for both WCMU Public Radio and WCMU Public Television.
