Rare copy of "A Christmas Carol" resides at CMU

A Christmas Carol is perhaps one of Charles Dickens’ best known works. It tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, as he’s visited by four ghosts on Christmas Eve.

The novella was published just before Christmas in 1843… and a rare first-edition copy resides right here in Michigan, on the campus of Central Michigan University.

We learn more about it as part of “Let’s Go Back - Stories from the Clarke Historical Library.”
