Michigan recorded 993 new Coronavirus cases on Saturday and 19 additional deaths, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.
That brings the total number of cases in Michigan to 4,650 since March 10. Over that period of time, 111 Michiganders have died from COVID-19.
A majority of the cases have been recorded in metro-Detroit, as have most of the deaths. The City of Detroit has become a national hotspot for the disease to date, recording 1,377 cases and 30 deaths.
