The man convicted of a terrorist attack at Flint’s Bishop airport told a federal judge Thursday he regrets he didn’t have a machine gun.

Amor Ftouhi told the judge he regretted not killing the airport police officer he stabbed in June of 2017.

Ftouhi is a native of Tunisia and was living in Montreal at the time of the attack.

U-S District Judge Matthew Leitman said Ftouhi's comments tied his hands - and sentenced him to consecutive life terms.

Outside the courthouse, Jeff Neville brushed aside Ftouhi’s statements in court.

“If he didn’t kill me, He probably would want me to say I hated him.   That probably would make his day.   But you know what.  He ain’t getting that from me.  'Cause I don’t hate him.”

Jeff Neville retired from law enforcement after the attack that nearly ended his life.
