Veteran groups want Fred Upton to support impeachment

A coalition of veterans groups is putting pressure on Republicans in Congress to support the impeachment of President Donald Trump. One of its targets is west Michigan Congressman Fred Upton.

The group called "Defend American Democracy" is running a T-V ad.

Retired Army medic Jason Hurd of Massachusetts is one of the veterans in the ad targeting Upton and other Republicans on Capitol Hill.

"If we did a fraction of what Donald Trump has done while he's been in office, we would be put in military prison for the rest of our lives. So, we're just holding Donald Trump to the same standard that every other American is put to, which is: obey the law."

Upton's office says that although the Saint Joseph Republican has questions about the president's conduct, he does not support the impeachment process launched by the Democratic majority in the House. I'm Andy Robins.
