Governor Gretchen Whitmer wants to change the day of her first State of the State address.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer was scheduled to give her address next Tuesday. But President Donald Trump was recently invited by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to give his State of the Union address that same night.

Whitmer has asked for her speech to be moved to February 12th.

Michigan Speaker of the House Lee Chatfield says he’s reviewing the request.
