The Michigan State Police Wednesday released the findings of a misconduct investigation into members of the Flint Area Narcotics Group, or FANG.

Five members of the drug task force were found to be drinking at the office after hours and while off duty.

Three of those members were command officers.

According to the MSP, members have been placed on administrative duty or on desk duty pending disciplinary action.

In the meantime the MSP has assigned a new officer, First Lieutenant Shannon Sims, to be the new FANG commander.

In a written statement the MSP wrote that they expect and demand quote “the highest standards of professional conduct from our enforcement and civilian members.”
