Homespun this week continues to celebrate the life of Banjo master and collector Jim Mills with a couple of burnin’ instrumentals, a song he wrote performed by Blue Highway, and his work with mandolinist Alan Bibey! We’ll also hear new music from Louisiana’s Ann Savoy, and we’ll note the 20-year Anniversary release of Lori McKenna’s album “Bittertown”!

This week on Homespun we note the passing of 2 giants in Bluegrass-Mandolinist Frank Wakefield and Banjo master Jim Mills. We’ll hear their solo work as well as Frank’s work with Red Allen and Jim’s with Ricky Skaggs. We’ll also visit music from the film Cold Mountain and new music from Cajun singer and musician Miss Ann Savoy.
