The design of CMU's new tartan

Central Michigan University unveiled their new tartan last week, seen for the first time at the investiture ceremony for recently appointed university President Neil MacKinnon.

Throughout the next year, the school plans on applying the design across different marketing pieces, in the CMU bookstore and making it available for use by faculty and students as a part of the university's brand kit.

The design was chosen by an online voting process in January.

“The tartan pattern is a fun new way to show our Fired-Up school pride,” MacKinnon said at the ceremony.

You can get more information and see the tartan for yourself on the Central Michigan University website.
