AAR Manufacturing in Cadillac is expanding and creating dozens of new jobs with the help of a $500,000 grant.
The company creates pallets for the air force and received the grant over a competing site in Ohio for its involvement in the community.
“It’s just wonderful that AAR has continued to be here in our community and has been able to successfully secure a new project that will bring in new dollars, new people, new equipment and continue to be a place where they call home for their manufacturing site,” Cadillac city manager Marcus Peccia said.
The company works with the local career and technical center to recruit talent as well.
“This is a place where people want to be,” Peccia said. “There’s a lot that’s offered here in terms of high quality of life and opportunities and our geographic location is really also unique where we are very close to a host of different urban areas.”
