No Labels aims to give voters an alternative to Donald Trump and Joe Biden

If Republicans nominate Donald Trump for president... a self-described bipartisan political group plans to offer another choice. It’s holding its first town hall today (MONDAY). Leona Larson has more.

No Labels says its polling shows two-thirds of Americans don’t want a Biden - Trump rematch in 2024. If that happens... No Labels says it will offer an alternative. A split Republican-Democratic or Independent ticket. The group’s website offers a quote, “insurance policy” to voters and critics... a promise that the effort won’t tip the scales. Former West Michigan Congressman Fred Upton... a Republican...is with No Labels.

Upton said, “It's not going to be a spoiler effort. And we have until August of ‘24, to actually pull back if we thought we would be a spoiler. Or if we, if we can't win. But in the meantime, like a boy scout, we're going to be prepared.”

Critics of the group say it could throw the race to Trump. Upton says he supports No Labels... but won’t be on the ticket.
