Tiicker launched its app focused on direct-to-shareholder marketing in 2020. At its website, Tiicker describes its vision as “rewarding individual investors with discounts, deals and gifts from the companies they own and convert brand champions into shareholders.”

As the world’s largest shareholder loyalty platform, its founder and CEO Jeff Lambert says the company has experienced triple-digit user growth over the past year. It was determined expanding its staff is necessary meeting demand. Currently, Tiicker employs seven employees at its Detroit and Grand Rapids locations. The plan is to create 73-high-wage jobs over the next three years. But where to expand?

Tiicker considered locations in Florida, Missouri and New York, but decided Grand Rapids offered an appealing work/play lifestyle for attracting talent.

Tiicker will make a $4.8 million capital investment at its downtown Grand Rapids headquarters.

Regional economic development organization The Right Place, assisted Tiicker. The project is receiving a $510,0000 Michigan Economic Development Corporation grant.
