Flint’s Mayor was officially sworn in for a second term today.

In his address, Mayor Sheldon Neeley stressed the importance of “unity”, especially as the city moves forward from the water crisis that has come to define the city’s identity.

“The way that the nation looks at us is important, to attract new families, businesses and corporations, it is important for all of us to be ambassadors of hope for this community.” said Neeley.

Neeley also talked about the challenges and opportunities ahead for Flint, including deciding how to spend tens of millions of dollars in federal COVID relief funding.
