As Black History Month comes to a close, a Central Michigan University professor is encouraging his students to document the African American experience.
The assignment starts off with a simple conversation with his students’ grandparents. The students listen, ask questions, and then come up with a creative way to present these stories -- by producing an audio drama of the story.
Dr. Will Anderson from the Central Michigan University School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, and one of his students, Terrance Stallworth, spoke with WCMU's Mike Horace about the project, and it's impact beyond the classroom.
