State officials have announced the winners of the MI Shot to Win sweepstakes.
The contest awards cash prizes for Michiganders who got the COVID-19 vaccine.
Jacqueline Paul from Cheboygan County won fifty thousand dollars in the drawing.
Paul has an autoimmune condition called Grave’s disease and has undergone four surgeries.
She says she’s grateful to her doctor and medical team for providing her with information about the COVID vaccine.
“ Thank you to your incredible team at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center for sharing your wisdom, and potentially saving my life. I may not ever be able to repay your kindness, but with my sweepstakes prize, I’ll be able to pay my medical bills.”
So far, nearly 60 percent of Michiganders age 12 and up have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine.
