A Wisconsin man is the latest to be charged in the alleged plot to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Brian Higgins was arraigned in Antrim County’s 86th District Court today (Tues).

He’s being charged for providing material support in a terrorist act, a 20-year felony.

Higgins is one of eight men accused of planning to kidnap the Governor from her vacation home in Elk Rapids and execute her.

He was recently extradited from Wisconsin after withdrawing an appeal.

Prosecutors say the man provided materials for a surveillance trip of the Governor’s home in Elk Rapids, including video recording equipment and a night vision scope.

His bond is set at 100-thousand dollars.
