Three more men will face trial over the alleged plot to kidnap governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Six men faced charges in federal court. One plead guilty and the other five are expected to face trial.

Then there are eight men facing charges in state court, and of those, three appeared in Jackson County on Monday.

Judge Michael Klaeren ruled there’s enough evidence to move forward with a trial against the men on most of the charges. But he threw out a charge of making a terrorist threat because he said the men didn’t tell anyone else about their plans.

“They would have perceived that all of the men that they were communicating with would not say a word about it.”

The remaining charges against the three men include providing support to a terrorist act, being part of a gang and having a firearm while committing a felony.
