On Monday a judge denied a request by a former top aide to former Governor Rick Snyder to have a perjury charge against him dismissed.
Jarrod Agen was Snyder's chief of staff. He was charged with perjury as part of the state’s investigation of the Flint water crisis.
Defense Attorney Seth Waxman argues there are problems with the case against his client.
“We’re at least two months into this case, and my client Mr. Agen sits here today still not knowing what he’s alleged to have done wrong.”
Another court is reviewing all the documents in the case. It will likely be at least June before prosecutors and defense attorneys get the documents.
This year nine people, including the former governor, have been criminally charged in connection with the Flint water crisis.
