Michigan’s Attorney General expects an announcement on the criminal case tied to the Flint Water Crisis.

A.G. Dana Nessel, who isn’t directly involved in the investigation, says she has recently spoken with Solicitor General Fadwa Hammoud, who indicated an update is coming soon.

“She indicates to me that they are wrapping up the investigation. And that I believe there'll be some announcements on the status of the case early next year.”

As far as the civil case goes, Nessel says the incoming Biden administration will help increase settlement money for the people of Flint. The Trump Administration had fought settling a civil suit on behalf of the E.P.A. Currently, $641-million dollars in settlement money has been agreed to.
