In the United States 2nd Congressional District, voters on Tuesday re-elected Representative and Republican Bill Huizenga of Michigan over Democrat Brian Berghoef.

Multiple media outlets called the election shortly after midnight, with Huizenga winning the election by roughly two-thirds of the vote as of early Wednesday morning according to polling data.

Moments after learning of his victory, Congressman Huizenga made a prediction on the Presidential race outcome.

“I think that Donald Trump is going to be re-elected as President,” Huizenga said. “We should not, cannot go through what we have gone through for the last three years, again. Impeachment, and this constant harassing, and this disinformation and the distortions that were happening…I am hopeful that people realize that if he is re-elected…it is time to move forward.”

The win Tuesday earns Congressman Huizenga a sixth term in the United States House of Representatives.
