Michigan Democratic Senator Gary Peters brought his statewide motorcycle tour to Lansing today (Friday) to talk about small business relief.

Flanked by an entourage of fellow bikers, Senator Peters rolled into the back lot of Lansing Brewing Company to tour the restaurant’s onsite facility.  He says the hospitality industry has been particularly hard hit by the economic damage wrought by COVID-19.  But Peters says the federal Paycheck Protection Program has been critical to sustaining small businesses.

“I’m working to have another round of PPP that will be available for small businesses; particularly those that, because of the nature of their industry, can’t recover as quickly as others,” said Peters.

Peters says he’s hopeful Republicans will advance another stimulus package when the Senate returns next week. He’s seeking a second term and will face off against GOP challenger John James in November.
