In what many considered the most anticipated West Michigan primary race, Republican Peter Meijer ran away with the victory in the five-candidate field for U.S. House of Representatives in Michigan’s 3rd Congressional District.

An Iraq War veteran, Meijer says he’ll support the military and veterans while concentrating on a strategic foreign policy. The West Michigan native is focused on creating a strong business environment. He’s pro-life, supports the Second Amendment, religious freedom and the Constitution.

He’ll face off with Democratic challenger Hillary Scholten in the November General Election.
