The search for a new provost at Michigan State University continues despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The provost is the university’s top academic officer.
Names have not been released, but three finalists have been identified. They will visit campus virtually between March 30th and April 1st.
President Samuel Stanley Junior says there were some in-person interviews with the finalists prior to the enactment of virus-related precautions.
“So, that did take place during the interviews before we were in this state of social distancing and lockdown, so members of the committee have had a chance to meet the finalists, and the finalists have had the chance to meet people from Michigan State University.”
Each candidate will be available for an open forum via Zoom starting at noon on their respective dates. Questions can be submitted before noon on Friday at msu-dot-edu-slash-provostsearch.
