It’s the first full day of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s executive order mandating that people stay home to avoid spreading the Coronavirus.

Saying we are in a crisis un-like anything we’ve ever experienced before, Michigan governor Gretchen Witmer repeated her “order” for residents to stay home and stay safe with exceptions only for essential needs for the economy or individuals.

Whitmer says a source of frustration for Governor’s across the country is that there has not been a national strategy for dealing with this health pandemic.

"It should be coming in terms of a national strategy and having the tests that we need to really be able analyze where Covid-19 exists, who needs to be isolated  Those are really important pieces that are missing right now"

The governor is urging Michigan residents if they have to go out to consolidate trips and not go out daily to pick up food and only go out once a week or less if possible, until the stay at home executive order is lifted in mid April.
