For the second year, people can sign up for text alerts on their phones to receive updates on the annual Mackinac Bridge Walk.
Mackinac County Emergency Management is partnering with the Bridge Authority to provide updates on the bridge walk in a timely manner.
Alerts include schedule reminders, traffic notifications, weather updates, and emergency notifications.
The updates will be sent out periodically between now and September fourth.
To receive updates, text “MBW2018” to 67283. To opt out of the updates text “STOP MBW2018”.
