The investigation continues on the officer involved shooting in Midland County.
A 16-year old male was killed after he shot at police and they returned fire.
Lt. David Kaiser is with the Michigan State Police, who are conducting the investigation. He said the officer involved in the shooting will remain on administrative leave until the investigation is complete.
“Our detectives that investigated this shooting need to put their findings onto paper. Also what’s even more important is the autopsy that was completed by a medical examiner, we need to have his paper report for the autopsy findings”.
Kaiser said he anticipates the reports will be completed and sent to the prosecuting attorney late this week or by the first part of next.
