Thousands are without power this morning in northern Michigan, following another round of severe weather overnight.
According to Consumers Energy, over 17,000 of its customers were in the dark as of 5:30am, mainly in northeast lower Michigan. Another 1,200 Presque Isle Electric and Gas customers were also without power. And Great Lakes Energy reports around 600 of its customers are without electricity following last night’s storms.
Further north, around 1,100 customers in the eastern Upper Peninsula are still waiting for power to be restored, after losing it in another round of storms on Sunday.
