Farmers’ market season has started, and one community market is using technology to bring fresh produce to more people.

The Midland Chamber of Commerce has launched a new service that allows people to place an order from the farmers market online and have the goods delivered to their home.

Rachel Gray is the owner of Run-A-Round Errand Service. She said the service was launched to help bring fresh produce to more people.

“There’s a parking issue and when getting down there it's really busy and some people just like to shop from home. So I get the orders, I pick up the order, and deliver them. We also offer a way where they can do pick up. I’ll have the order ready and they just drive through and do the pick-up”.

Gray said every week the website is updated with what will be available at the market. Right now delivery service is available only on Wednesdays. As the year goes on she said she hopes to expand the service to Saturdays as well.
