Starting tomorrow, Tuesday June 1st, the state's lifting all COVID restrictions on outdoor gatherings. But the state's still asking unvaccinated people to wear a mask indoors, at least for the next month.

The state lifted the mask mandate for fully vaccinated people in mid-May, after the CDC changed its advisory.

Businesses are being asked to make a "good faith effort" that people really are vaccinated if they're unmasked indoors.

And many healthcare places and hospitals will keep asking for masks too.

So Dr. Christine Nefcy of Munson Health says don't throw your mask away yet.

"And whereas we had masks available at a lot of places previously, that might not be the case going forward. So just you know, tuck a mask in an envelope or in a bag and keep it, keep it on your person or in your car.

The state says it will lift all broad COVID orders, including masks, on July 1st.
