State officials are once again calling on Flint to address significant deficiencies in its water system.

The Department of Environmental Quality issued a letter Monday outlining what the city needs to do.

The report lists fourteen deficiencies, including completion of an emergency response plan and hiring an operator in charge.

The letter is the third notice sent to the city since last August, outlining problems with the city’s water system.

MDEQ officials say Flint is in violation of the Clean Water Act and issued a timeline for corrective action on each of the issues outlined in the letter.

Flint officials did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
