First case of measles this year in Washtenaw County

The first case of measles in Michigan this year has been reported, and health officials say members of the public may have been exposed.  

The patient was traveling abroad and returned to Detroit Metropolitan airport where they were  found to be contagious.

Anyone who was in customs or baggage claim in the airports North terminal on March 6 between 2 and 5pm should seek medical attention of they develop any symptoms.

Symptoms include red eyes, fever and runny nose. The incubation period is 10-12 days

The infected individual is in the hospital recovering.
